FLORAL DESIGN STUDIO
Classes are taught in a
comfortable lecture laboratory facility designed to encourage creativity
and teach efficient flower shop operation. The course is structured to
provide beginners with job skills in a short time, as well as to improve
and develop the skills of those already working in the field. You are
granted a certificate upon completion of the course. You can be on
the road to success in just three short weeks. Classes are also
appropriate for creative people who wish to develop floral design skills
for their personal pleasure.
A
PRACTICAL APPROACH
First, you will learn the
essentials, such as the elements of floral design, use of materials,
handling and care of the cut flowers and basic design construction. Then
you will advance to more demanding designs suitable to a wide range of
applications. You'll work with fresh plant materials for the most part but
dried and silks will also be available. The emphasis is on developing your
creativity and mastering proven techniques. Since business skills are
necessary, you will get a thorough introduction to the basics of running a
successful business, including marketing techniques, pricing, sales skills
and public relations.
