1. Kundert Medical Building, 1956
This is the only building in San Luis Obispo designed by world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

2. Fremont Theatre, 1941
This theatre was recently renovated including neon lights, floor-to-ceiling velvet drapes and
ceiling paintings. Monterey Street between Santa Rosa and Osos Streets.
3. Ah Louis Store, 1874
Built entirely of bricks by Ah Louis, leader of the Chinese settlement here. The store served as the
bank and post office for over 2,000 Chinese laborers who built railroad tunnels here. Corner of Palm
and Chorro Streets.
4. Judge Walter Murray Adobe, 1849
Home of Walter Murray, who painted the first copies of San Luis Obispo's local newspaper, The Tribune,
in this building. Located in Mission Plaza.
5. San Luis Creek
The creek provides a scenic spot to relax and picnic. It was the Mission's main source of water. Located throughout downtown San Luis Obispo.
6. San Luis Obispo County Historical Museum, 1905
Originally built as a library, it became a museum in 1956. Corner of Broad and Monterey Streets.
7. Children's Museum
A creative learning museum for children. Located on the corner of Nipomo and Monterey Streets.
8. The Creamery, 1906
Currently home to shops and restaurants, the building operated as a full service creamery
from its opening until 1974. Corner of Nipomo and Higuera Streets.
9. St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1867
This was one of the first Episcopal Churches in California. Corner of Nipomo and Pismo Streets.
10. Garden Street Inn, 1887
A historic bed & breakfast inn operated by Dan and Kathy Smith since 1990. Garden Street between Marsh
and Pacific Streets.
11. Presbyterian Church, 1905
Built entirely of grey granite rock from San Luis Obispo's Bishop's Peak. Corner of Morro and Marsh Streets.
12. Bubble Gum Alley
This alley, secretely located in downtown San Luis Obispo has become a popular spot for many to leave
their mark in the form of bubble gum. Over the years it has established quite a reputation. Located in
between Broad and Garden Streets on Higuera Street, next to Mother's Tavern.
13. St. Andrews Building, 1893
Built as a bank by J.P. Andrews. The bank for the courthouse was donated by him. Located on the corner of
Monterey and Osos Streets.
14. Downtown Centre, 1995
One of the newest additions to downtown San Luis Obispo, this centre houses many shops including a Barnes &
Noble, Starbuck's Coffee, Movie Theatre and The Gap. Located on the corners of Marsh, Morro, and Higuera streets.
